SMS Terms

Last updated October 7, 2026 4 min read

These terms apply to text messages sent through MyCallDesk, both by businesses that use MyCallDesk to text their own customers and by MyCallDesk itself to account holders (for example, verification codes and account alerts).

01Program description

  • Business messages: when you call or text a business that uses MyCallDesk, you may receive replies, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, technician arrival updates and follow-ups about your request. These messages are sent on behalf of that business.
  • Account messages: MyCallDesk sends one-time verification codes, new-lead and new-job alerts, and billing or security notices to account holders who have provided their mobile number.

MyCallDesk does not send marketing text messages to callers on its own behalf.

03Message frequency & cost

Message frequency varies with your conversation and appointments. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

04Opting out & help

  • Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) at any time to stop messages from that number. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages.
  • Reply START (or UNSTOP) to opt back in.
  • Reply HELP (or INFO) for help, or contact support@mycalldesk.net or info@mycalldesk-mail.net or +1 (236) 204-7248.

05Carriers

Supported carriers include major Canadian and U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

06Privacy

We use your number and messages only to provide the messaging program and the MyCallDesk Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Mobile information, including text-messaging opt-in data and consent, will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

07For businesses using MyCallDesk

If you send messages through MyCallDesk you are the sender and must follow these SMS Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, carrier rules and messaging laws (CASL, TCPA and others), including only messaging people who contacted you or consented.
